Here is the provisional fixture list for the 2009 season. There are currently one or two gaps for the coming season, so if you know of someone who is after a game (or indeed are the fixture secretary of a club looking for a game) then please via email.

It is worth noting that we have a handful of interesting new fixtures, that the attempt to start in the middle of April has been shelved, that tour weekend has been cancelled for the second year running due to a lack of committed participants and that Saturday fixtures are, sadly from my perspective, becoming a very rare breed indeed.

Once again Patrick Redding has done a cracking job in pulling together this list, and I’m sure that all members would like to join me in thanking Pat for his efforts on our behalf.

The experiment with Google Maps continues and work has started on a custom map that shows the locations of our 2009 opposition and makes it as easy as it could possibly get to obtain directions to the ground each week. Be aware, though, that Google Maps is a Web 2.0 application and requires a fairly recent browser (I’ve tested it successfully with IE v6/v7, Firefox v2/v3 and Opera v9 but it definitely doesn’t work properly with Opera v8).

I would still like to add Multimap links, to complement the existing ones for Streetmap, but it is fairly low on the list of priorities, and is unlikely to happen any time soon, especially given that the Google Maps version seems to be serving the desired purpose.
